The More The Merrier Skill will be received in the Futamata region during the Warring States. To locate the skill manual, check within the Futamata area on top of a body located inside a small hut located east of the Futamata area.
To reach this location, continue with the main storyline until you can reach the Futamata area. Directly go northeast toward where the village is located from the Tealeaf Village Shrine. Locate the corpse located in the area along the road inside of a small hut. The corpse is hard to miss, however there are soldiers from Takeda guarding the area. Therefore, you will need to defeat all of the soldiers in order to acquire the body.
If you have already finished the time line, it will be very easy for you to find in the area by teleporting to either the Abandoned Bamboo Grove Shrine or the Tealeaf Village Shrine.
After obtaining the skill manual, do the following to equip the skill:
- Go to any Shrine and rest there.
- Select Skills Management from your inventory.

The Nioh 3 More and Merrier Skill allows you to cancel many attack or action animations whenever you use a Summon Talisman or Summoning Seal. Just like Soul Cores that are equipped in the Yang slot of your Onmyo loadout, these seals are connected to those types of Soul Cores.
When you use a summon during attack animation, the game will stop what you are doing and begin the summoning animation right away. It works like Guardian Spirit Skills that have an attack animation that allows for an attack to be cancelled out of, but the only thing that makes Summon Talismans better is that you can still move freely in any direction while you are summoning a Yokai, which gives you a lot of room to move while that Yokai is performing an attack.
This skill helps increase how usable many of the high commitment Martial Arts are that would otherwise leave you open for getting hit after you perform an attack. You can cancel the attack of a Martial Art with long recovery frames, so you won’t be hit with a counter from your opponent.
As an example, the abilities Thunderbolt with the Odachi and Limitless with the Cestus are a lot safer now that you can cancel the recovery by using a summon.
