Marvel Rivals Season 6 Update changes how fights play out in Marvel Rivals. Some heroes hit harder, some survive less, and some now need smarter timing instead of raw power.
If you want to avoid bad picks and understand the new meta, this guide breaks down every hero buff, nerf, and adjustment in plain words.
Marvel Rivals Season 6 Update: All Nerfs And Buffs
Vanguard Changes (Frontline Heroes)
Angela – Nerf
Angela is no longer a tough character to handle in Marvel Rivals Season 6 Update.
- The power of her shield is less then it was in the past.
- Her defense will go down faster if you shoot at her.
Again, this means that you will be able to punish Angela sooner in melee confrontations. No more long battles for her; she can’t even stall them as long as she used to.
Captain America – Buff
Increased pressure on the part of Captain America.
- His shield saw power gets rejuvenated quicker.
You can also routinely throw abilities at the enemy and keep them under constant threat instead of waiting on cooldowns.
Doctor Strange – Buff + Control Upgrade
Doctor Strange receives superior control of his movement in Marvel Rivals Season 6 Update.
- His damage conversion has been improved.
- You may even cancel and redirect his flying ability during his mid-air use.
You can either escape danger or change your position mid-fight instead of getting committed in one direction. This will test your skill and timing.
Emma Frost – Buff
Emma Frost accumulates energy quicker.
- She receives more energy from striking heroes, shields, and summons.
Her shifty character will keep on blocking the enemy’s path without resting between abilities.
Hulk – Major Buff
Hulk is much harder to stop in Marvel Rivals Season 6 Update.
- He charges jumps faster.
- His ranged attack hits harder and recharges quicker.
In monster form, he cannot be knocked back or launched.
You can play Hulk aggressively without getting pushed around. Crowd control is far less effective on him now.
Duelist Changes (Damage Dealers)
Black Panther – Buff
Black Panther’s offense is stronger and ult’s usage is safer.
- His spear’s damage is more.
- Starting his ultimate takes lesser damage.
Now you can engage more confidently without dying during your ult animation.
Blade – Buff + Weapon Trade-Off
Blade becomes more tactical.
- Shotgun has the ability to slow down the enemy but its range is a bit worse.
- Sword heals the enemy less but inflicts lower damage per hit.
You need to select weapons according to the situation. Blade is a stronger character in general but mindless aggression won’t work.
Daredevil – Nerf
Daredevil’s hits are slightly softer.
- His high damage abilities inflict less damage.
- He gets less resource from movement abilities.
You need great positioning and timing. You can’t depend on constant high burst anymore.
Iron Fist – Buff
Iron Fist turns into a more dependable character.
- His combo finisher deals more damage.
- His defensive skill is for a longer duration.
You can be in fights longer and get enemies with the help of your skill more often.
Namor – Rebalance
Namor switches the power from Team-Ups to solo playing.
- His summoned units are more powerful.
- His Team-Up ability is for shorter duration.
Namor is better solo now. Don’t trust Team-Ups to be the source of your damage.
Strategist Changes (Support Heroes)
Cloak & Dagger – Rebalance
Healing is more controlled in Marvel Rivals Season 6 Update.
- Healing-over-time is lower.
- Allies get an instant heal when abilities are placed.
- Two key abilities now share charges.
You must plan ability use carefully. Spamming heals won’t work, but smart timing is rewarded.
Gambit – Nerf
Gambit’s healing is weaker.
- His explosions heal less.
- His ultimate heals less over time.
- Some ability loops are limited.
You can’t out-heal everything anymore. Positioning matters more than raw sustain.
Invisible Woman – Nerf
Her shields are less powerful.
- Shield health is lower.
- Self-healing is reduced.
- Shield recovery is slower.
You must play safer. Overextending is now much riskier.
Rocket Raccoon – Minor Nerf
Rocket is slower.
- His movement ability has reduced speed.
You can still escape, but you must plan routes instead of relying on speed alone.
Team-Up Ability Changes in Marvel Rivals Season 6 Update
Nerfed Team-Ups
- Namor’s Team-Up deals less damage and has longer cooldowns.
- Loki’s damage boost to allies is lower.
Removed Team-Ups
- Human Torch and Spider-Man no longer share a Team-Up.
- Rocket no longer grants special abilities to Peni Parker.
New Team-Up
- Deadpool can boost health, damage, or healing depending on role.
- Spider-Man gains new explosive utility with Peni Parker.
Team-Ups are no longer auto-win tools. Pick them for strategy, not just power.
Season 6 clearly shifts Marvel Rivals toward less healing dominance and puts more emphasis on skill-based movement and decision-making. Frontline heroes now apply stronger pressure, while supports can no longer carry fights through raw healing alone.
