How to Reset Skill Tree in ARC Raiders

Reset Skill Tree in ARC Raiders

Your skill choices in ARC Raiders matter a lot. Once you invest points, they shape how you move, fight, and survive. If your playstyle changes or a perk gets nerfed, resetting your skill tree lets you rebuild your character the right way.

The game now allows this after a key progression point, but it comes at a coin cost.

How to Reset Skill Tree in ARC Raiders

When Skill Tree Reset Becomes Available

It is not possible to reset skills at the beginning of the game. Only after the Project Expedition is completed, the reset option is unlocked. After this, your character can access full respec options without the need to wipe progress through another expedition.

Where to Find the Reset Option

To reset your skills, first open the main menu and then click on the Raider tab. Next, go into the Skill Tree screen. Here, with the Cold Snap update, a new option called Reset Skill Tree appears. This option was not present in the game earlier.

Skill Tree Reset Cost Explained

Resetting skills is not free. The game charges coins based on how many skill points you have used.

The price is consistent at 2,000 coins for each skill point. If you are at the current level cap of 75, a full reset will cost you 150,000 to 152,000 coins based on your total points. You cannot reset individual points. The whole system at once resets the entire skill tree.

If you make a mistake after respecing, you can reset again. The price only depends on total points, not how many times you reset.

Step-by-Step Skill Tree Reset Process

  • Open the Raider or Profile menu
  • Enter the Skill Tree screen
  • Select Reset Skill Tree
  • Confirm the coin cost
  • Accept and reset

After this, all spent skill points return to your pool, and you can assign them again however you want.

Choosing the Right Skills After Reset

Take your time to think things through as you plan your approach to how you spend your refunded skill points in the game for the first time.

Some skill points involving perks tied to access are useful if you loot and explore a lot. It is good to have Security Breach and spend points on that.

For PvP and Trios, you should spend your points on Mobility and Conditioning, as they give more value in combat. For the melee build, perks in Conditioning are really good in situations where you have to clutch and are low on health or down.

It is good to have made some skill choices from other trees that you think are good even after a reset, as the tree unlocks from the bottom up.

Extra Skill Points (Optional but Important)

You can store coins before Quest Expedition is completed for some more bonus skill points.

For every additional 1 million coins you accumulate, you gain 1 more additional skill point, until you have 5 bonus points in total. This increases your maximum skill points from 75 to 80, providing more value in your skill points across different trees.

If you plan to save to spend your coins more strategically down the road, saving coins early to spend before you reset for a stronger build in the long term pays off.
