Shroud Vapor is a late-game crafting material in Enshrouded that you need for advanced potions and cosmetic dyes. You cannot find it as loot in the world. How To Get Shroud Vapor in Enshrouded
1. Unlocking the Laboratory
To craft Shroud Vapor you have to first unlock the Laboratory. This crafting station is made accessible only after you complete the Alchemist quest called Scientific Instruments for a Laboratory.
Once you have finished this quest and built the Laboratory, not only will the Shroud Vapor recipe be available but other advanced recipes as well, provided you have collected its rare material for the first time.
2. Shroud Vapor Crafting Recipe
Shroud Vapor is made from three ingredients and takes a short time to craft.
The three ingredients are Enshrouded Ice, Active Mycelium, and Salt. Active Mycelium can be gathered from Shrouded areas all over the game while Salt is easy to obtain early in the game from mines and valleys.
Enshrouded Ice is the only ingredient that cannot be obtained until late in the game. The crafting of one bottle of Shroud Vapor at the Laboratory takes just a bit over a minute.
Where To Find Enshrouded Ice
1. Reach Flame Altar Level 6
Enshrouded Ice is found only in the Albaneve Summits biome. To safely reach this region, your Flame Altar must be strengthened to Level 6.
While the game recommends a high character level, you can farm Enshrouded Ice earlier if you are careful and avoid dangerous Shroud zones.
2. Unlock the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire
The easiest way to reach it is by unlocking the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire and gliding toward nearby Shrouded areas. Stay near the edges of the fog and avoid deep red Shroud zones while landing.
Inside the Shroud, look for tall mushrooms and strange stalk-like plants growing out of the ground. These are not normal mushrooms.
3. Cut the Mushrooms
When you cut them down, they drop Enshrouded Ice. You can gather a large amount by following the Shrouded paths through the area. If you need more later, the resources respawn after some time away from the region.
What Shroud Vapor Is Used For
Shroud Vapor is not a decorative item. It is a core ingredient for high-tier crafting.
At the Alchemist and Laboratory, it is used to create powerful consumables such as advanced health and mana potions, antidotes, and special utility items. These become important when facing tougher enemies and extended fights.
Shroud Vapor is also used at the Coloring Station. It unlocks rare color palettes that let you customize gear appearances with deeper and darker tones. If you are interested in visual customization, this is the main reason you will keep producing it.
