Rinku Singh’s Meerut Mavericks Cruise to Second UP T20 League Title
Rinku Singh added another trophy to his burgeoning captaincy resume on September 6 as the Meerut Mavericks thrashed the Lucknow Falcons by 94 runs to clinch their second UP T20 League title.

The victory was set up by a breathtaking innings from Divyansh Joshi, whose 105 off 40 balls propelled the Mavericks to a formidable 203 for 7 after they were sent in to bat. Joshi’s knock provided the platform that the Falcons’ chase never recovered from.
In response, Lucknow crumbled to 109 all out, with Vishal Chaudhary leading the bowling attack with a four-wicket haul. Zeeshan Ansari provided crucial support, returning figures of 2 for 12 to strangle the Falcons’ run chase.
The triumph adds to Rinku Singh‘s growing reputation as a leader. The Kolkata Knight Riders batter has now guided the Mavericks to four finals in the competition, winning two titles. His leadership has drawn particular attention from KKR fans, who view his performances in domestic tournaments as evidence of his suitability for the IPL captaincy.
Singh’s campaign was all the more impressive given the physical challenges he faced. He battled through injuries to lead the Mavericks to nine league wins, underlining his resilience and ability to marshal his team through a demanding tournament.
