Netherlands Name Squad for First Ever Women’s T20 World Cup
The Netherlands have picked their 15-woman squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales. This is the first time the Dutch team will play in this big tournament. The event starts on June 12.

Babette de Leede will lead the team as captain. She is excited to show what her team can do on the world stage. The squad has a good mix of experienced players and young talent.

The Netherlands made it to the Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time after winning all three of their matches in the Super Six stage of the global qualifiers. This shows they are in good form.
Captain de Leede shared her happiness about this big achievement. She said, “We are super excited for our first ever appearance in the ICC T20 World Cup. It will be a great opportunity to compete with the best teams in the world, and to show the talent that we have in the Netherlands on the big stage.”
She also hopes to see many Dutch fans at the matches. Since the tournament is close to their home in England, she expects a big orange crowd. “It will be an experience of a lifetime, not just for us as a team, but also for our families, friends, and everyone who has Dutch women’s cricket at heart,” she added.
This is a proud moment for Dutch women’s cricket. The team will now get ready to face the best teams in the world.
