LSG’s Prince Yadav Gets India Call-Up; Teammate’s Sad Look Wins Hearts
Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Prince Yadav has earned his first-ever call-up to the Indian ODI squad for the upcoming series against Afghanistan. The 24-year-old’s brilliant performance in IPL 2026 caught the selectors’ attention.
Yadav took 19 wickets in 18 matches this season. His most memorable moment came when he bowled Virat Kohli for a duck. That wicket alone made everyone take notice of his talent.
The young pacer will now join the Indian team led by Shubman Gill for the ODI series. LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka praised Yadav’s fearless attitude and said this is just the beginning for him. The franchise had retained Prince Yadav for just Rs 30 lakh – a decision that now looks like a steal.
But one photo stole the spotlight
While the LSG camp celebrated Yadav’s success, a photo from the team dugout went viral on social media. In the background stood Arjun Tendulkar with a sad and lonely look on his face.

Fans quickly felt bad for the 26-year-old allrounder. He has not played a single match this season despite working hard in practice. Many supporters asked why LSG is not giving him a chance.
The contrast between the two players’ fortunes touched cricket fans across the country.
