The Heavenquaker Spear is one of the strongest melee weapons you can unlock in Where Winds Meet. It gives you wide-area attacks, strong bleed damage, and powerful combo buffs.
You can unlock it in two main ways: by stealing the art from the master inside the Heavenquaker Spear Sanctum, or by joining the Raging Tides Sect.
This guide explains both methods and shows you what to expect inside the sanctum so you can get the weapon as early as possible.
How to Unlock the Heavenquaker Spear in Where Winds Meet?
You can unlock this weapon in two ways:
- Steal the Heavenquaker Spear art in the Sanctum
- Join the Raging Tides Sect
Both paths give you the same martial art, but stealing it is faster if you are comfortable sneaking past guards or removing them quietly.
Steal the Heavenquaker Spear in the Sanctum
Step 1: Locate the Heavenquaker Spear Sanctum
The sanctum is in the northeast section of Qinghe. If you have nearby waypoints unlocked, teleport to one of them, and ride or glide the rest of the
Step 2: Use a Dragon Key to enter
The entrance is gated, and you will need to use a Dragon Key to access it. From quests, side stories, or looting particular strongholds, you can obtain these keys. Once a key is used, it is used up, so make sure you’re all set to enter.
Step 3: Navigate the hidden cave
Inside the sanctum, you will come across a number of sentinels blocking the way. If you wish to eliminate them unnoticed, obtain the Touch of Death Mystic Art. This ability is unlocked after completing the side story The Realm Endures.
Navigate through the cave one level at a time. There are some sentinels that patrol in pairs and others that are by themselves. Keep an eye on their movements, and take action while they are apart. You will find some chests in the typical hiding spots such as crates and side rooms. These chests do have useful items, but they are not required.
Step 4: Reach the upper chamber
As you move deeper, climb upward until the path leads to a chamber overlooking a purple tree. This area has more guards, so take your time clearing a safe route.
Step 5: Stand on the skill theft circle
At the top, you will see a glowing blue circle. Step onto it to start the skill theft sequence. Once the interaction finishes, the Heavenquaker Spear martial art is added to your character.
This unlocks the weapon style immediately, even if you haven’t joined a martial sect.
Join the Raging Tides Sect
If you prefer not to sneak into the sanctum, you can unlock the spear technique by becoming a member of the Raging Tides Sect.
After joining, complete their required tasks, and the Heavenquaker Spear style becomes available as part of your sect training.
This method is slower but safer since you avoid the dangerous cave entirely.
You start with a basic four-hit light combo. This gives you steady damage and sets up your bleed-based playstyle. Once you unlock the third node on the spear’s talent tree, you gain access to heavy attacks and the charged thrust skill. This lets you push damage forward and break enemy defenses more easily.
