If you want to complete Scrappy’s final upgrade in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to collect two key items — Mushrooms and Comfortable Pillows. Both can be tricky to find, but once you know where to look, gathering them becomes much easier. This guide will help you locate these items and explain how to use them to upgrade Scrappy.
How to Find Mushrooms in ARC Raiders
Mushrooms can be small and easily overlookable, so be attentive. Most illustrations available scatter across the Dam Battlegrounds map. The most dependable location would be the area surrounding the Hydroponic Dome Complex, north of the Water Treatment Control region.
Once you reach the Dome, make sure to scan the area, specifically the muddy water pools. Mushrooms will often grow around the periphery of these pools. Every so often however, mushrooms may not be visible, as they share spawn points with various other resources, such as Great Mullein. If this is the case, come back later, or try a different location.
You can also locate Mushrooms around the Wreckage, which is southwest of the Testing Annex. Mushrooms frequently grow under fallen trees or logs and other debris, so make sure to check there as well. A few players have also claimed to see mushrooms grow around the South Swamp Outpost and Old Battlegrounds areas.
With as many different areas as there are to search, you shouldn’t have a problem walking away with a few Mushrooms.
How to Find Comfortable Pillows in ARC Raiders
Comfortable Pillows are easier to find but can take time. You’ll need to explore residential buildings and houses across different maps. The Buried City area is one of the best places to search.
Go through the buildings and check every room you can access. Pillows don’t have fixed spawn points, so you may need a few runs before finding the right ones. Be patient and keep checking. You only need three Very Comfortable Pillows, so once you find them, you’re set.
How to Use Mushrooms and Pillows in ARC Raiders
Both Mushrooms and Pillows are used to upgrade Scrappy, your mechanical companion in ARC Raiders. To complete the final upgrade, you’ll need:
- 12 Mushrooms
- 3 Very Comfortable Pillows
- 12 Apricots (used in an earlier upgrade too)
Once you have all these items, go to the upgrade station and use them to train Scrappy to level five. This upgrade boosts Scrappy’s performance and unlocks new abilities that help you in combat and exploration.
