Indian gamers won’t have to wait much longer to experience console-quality gaming on the go. Microsoft and ASUS have finally confirmed that their much-anticipated handheld gaming consoles for the Indian market: the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X.
Pre-orders for both models will open on October 7, ahead of their official launch on October 16, 2025. The devices will be available exclusively through the Republic of Gamers India website.

Xbox ROG Ally Price, Features and Early Review
The ROG Xbox Ally lineup represents a growing partnership between Microsoft’s Xbox division and ASUS’s Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand.
The ROG Xbox Ally is priced at $599.99, while the more advanced ROG Xbox Ally X is listed at $999.99.
The ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X are now open for pre-order through Asus’ official website, ROG and Asus Exclusive stores, Asus Eshop, Amazon, Vijay Sales, and authorized Asus partners. Indian Prices start at Rs 69,990 for the ROG Xbox Ally and Rs 1,14,990 for the ROG Xbox Ally X.
ROG Xbox Ally X runs Windows 11 Home and packs AMD’s Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, paired with 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB SSD.

The handheld sports a 7-inch Full HD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium. It also comes with an 80Wh battery supported by 65W fast charging.
The regular ROG Xbox Ally uses the Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD while maintaining the same 7-inch 120Hz screen. At around 670 grams, it’s lighter and easier to carry, powered by a 60Wh battery.
Early feedback highlights impressive battery life, reportedly lasting over three hours during demanding games. Testers have also said that the consoles provide a much more ergonomic feel and is comfortable for long gaming times.
However, some users pointed out that the LCD display doesn’t quite match the color depth of OLED screens. Still, performance-wise, it appears to hold steady at around 70–80 FPS in most modern titles with optimized settings.
