Pakistan’s Haider Ali Suspended by PCB After Arrest in England Amid Criminal Probe

Pakistan cricket is facing a troubling development as talented batter Haider Ali was suspended by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following his arrest in England. The 24-year-old, currently involved with the Pakistan Shaheens, was taken into custody by Greater Manchester Police on August 3 in Hove related to an alleged case of sexual molestation. Released on bail, Haider’s situation has now prompted the PCB to provisionally suspend him while a criminal investigation runs its course.
The PCB announced they were made aware of the ongoing police probe and stressed their commitment to both player welfare and legal procedure. Haider Ali is receiving legal support to ensure his rights are protected during this unsettling period. As the matter is now in the hands of UK authorities, the PCB has emphasized respect for due process and will await the results of the investigation before making further decisions.
