Total War: WARHAMMER III Tides of Torment DLC
Aislinn, The Sea Lord (High Elves)
Who is Aislinn?
Aislinn is the high-handed and uncompromising lord of the sea in Ulthuan. He gained his reputation because of the extensive and overwhelming naval campaigns he conducted as well as sea raids which he implemented without mercy. Aislinn’s seaborne playstyle is unconventional and he has the unopposed command of the High Elf navy.
Campaign Overview
The campaign of Aislinn is about taking control of the sea, aided by dragonships, and establishing posts on the coasts. Players will act as a mobile horde, moving around the world and taking over the enemy’s shores, which then will be offered to the ancient Elven Lords for relics, top-tier followers, and powerful blessings. The floating fortresses of Aislinn’s dragonships have building chains of their own, growth systems, and battlefield support abilities.
Unit Roster
Aislinn’s troops are a reflection of the naval warfare of the High Elves. His lineup features the Sea Helm, the Legendary Hero Caradryan, Mist Mages, Oceanids, Sea Elementals, Merwyrms, Ship’s Company infantry, and the adaptable Lothern Sky Cutter variants.
Dechala, The Denied One (Slaanesh)
Who is Dechala?
Dechala, the Slaanesh’s serpentine nightmare, is a fearsome demonic warlord, whose very name still evokes horror today. As her seductive and thriving empire grows, the gifting of new enchanted blades becomes her spread of corruption with every victory.
Campaign Overview
This campaign is one of excess, domination, and the establishment of Thrall Camps that eventually decay settlements. The resources generated by these camps will support a Slaaneshi empire that is dark, ever-growing, and thriving on suffering. Among the players’ possibilities are corrupting enemy units in advance of battle, debilitating whole enemy provinces, and moving steadily forward with the settlements being consumed and left behind.
Unit Roster
Dechala leads a warhost of horror and seduction composed of the Chaos Sorcerer Lord of Slaanesh, Styrkaar, Druchii Anointed, Pleasureseekers, Devotees of Slaanesh (with both melee and crossbow variants), Champions of Slaanesh, Slaangors, and the monstrous Preyton.
Sayl the Faithless (Norsca)
Who is Sayl?
The character of Sayl is a menstrual Chaos Sorcerer whose betrayal of any ally he ever had has made him notorious. His way to power is marked by Manipulation, sabotage, and dark magic.
Campaign Overview
Sayl’s path is mainly composed of the Dark Ritual, Chaos Altars, and a manipulation system that gives players the power to directly sabotage the others. The building of altars is what leads him to the grand ritual and the eventual climactic battle. Through his manipulations, players can either stop enemy armies, change units, or incite the Chaos Gods’ anger, thus forcing them to weigh power against risk.
Unit Roster
His unit list displays the combination of monstrous savagery and pure chaos: Beorg Bearstruck, Great Shaman Sorcerers, Fimir Nobles, Marauder Bearmen, Kurgan Horsemen, Chimera, Curs’d Ettin, and the fearsome Dreadmaw.
Total War: WARHAMMER III Free Content in Update 7.0
Alongside the DLC, all players receive the 104th Legendary Lord: The Masque of Slaanesh, a cursed Daemonette doomed to dance eternally by the Dark Prince.
Update 7.0 also provides legacy upgrades to older factions, refreshing older campaigns with new features, balance updates, and quality-of-life improvements. Creative Assembly will share full FLC details just before release.
Additional Units for Other Races
Several units added in this DLC will also appear in the rosters of:
- Beastmen (Slaangors, Preytons, Chimeras, RoRs)
- Daemons of Chaos (Pleasureseekers)
- Dark Elves (various Slaanesh-aligned units)
- Nurgle, Tzeentch, Warriors of Chaos, and more
These additions widen roster diversity across multiple Chaos factions and their subfactions. The DLC was first confirmed in March 2025, expanded upon during Warhammer Skulls in May, delayed in July, and fully dated in October. Each reveal highlighted a new faction until the High Elves were finally unveiled as the third race.
