As the spiritual successor to Ghost of Tsushima, Ghosts of Yotei developed by Sucker Punch Productions, promises another breathtaking journey through feudal Japan.
At launch, Ghost of Yōtei is only available on PlayStation 5. The game officially releases on October 2, 2025, and there are no confirmed plans for a PC version yet. Here’s everything you should know before buying the game!
Is Ghosts of Yotei Available on PC?
No, as mentioned above Ghost of Yōtei is only available on PlayStation 5. Neither Sucker Punch Productions nor Sony has announced any details about a port, so for now, the game remains a PS5 exclusive.
That said, if you’ve followed PlayStation’s pattern in recent years, you know this might not be the end of the story.
When Could Ghost of Yōtei Come to PC?
Predicting an exact release window is tricky, but we can make an educated guess based on Sony’s previous PC ports.
For example:
- Ghost of Tsushima launched on PS4 in 2020 and arrived on PC almost four years later, in 2024.
- God of War Ragnarök and The Last of Us Part II Remastered, however, took less than two years to make the jump.
- Stellar Blade was ported in just 14 months after its console debut.
Considering how Sony has been shortening the gap between console and PC releases, it’s possible that Ghost of Yōtei could arrive on PC much sooner, perhaps in 2027, or even late 2026 if Sony continues its newer, faster release strategy.
Is Ghosts of Yotei Available on Xbox Series X|S?
Unfortunately, Ghost of Yōtei won’t be launching on Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 4. The game is built specifically for PS5 hardware, making full use of next-gen graphics, haptic feedback, and faster loading speeds.
This means a PS4 version is highly unlikely, as the older system simply isn’t optimized to handle the same level of detail and performance.
As for Xbox, there’s been no indication from Sony or Sucker Punch that the game will ever release on Microsoft’s platform.
If you’re a PC gamer feeling left out, there’s still good reason to stay hopeful. Sony has openly stated its plans to bring more of its exclusive titles to PC. These ports often come with upgraded graphics, improved performance, and additional content that wasn’t available at launch.
