unlock Well of Heaven Sect in Where Winds Meet

The Well of Heaven sect is one of the factions you can join in Where Winds Meet, and it focuses on justice, honesty, and protecting people who cannot defend themselves. Joining this sect gives you access to special martial arts, reputation ranks, and exclusive gear. If you want to follow a righteous path early in the game, this sect is a strong fit.

How to Start the Well of Heaven Questline in Where Winds Meet?

1. Look For San Qian

Beginning the Well of Heaven questline in Harvestfall Village requires finding San Qian first. San Qian happens to be one of the waiters in the village.

San Qian will tell you how to get to the sect, however, he will not tell you until you pay him. After paying him 200 Zhou Coins, he directs you to an Elder under an Elm Tree to the South of the village.

2. Travel to Elder

This Elder will also make you pay him first. Next, he will give you odd request to complete. Go to a nearby man and steal from him. This might make you think you are suppose to be deceitful, but the sect is all about virtue, and stealing is always wrong.

3. Get the task for Initiation

Speak to the 2nd man in this area instead. He will be the one to explain to you how the first Elder is just trying to mislead you and give you the real task.

How to Complete the Initiation Test in Where Winds Meet?

The true Elder wants you to track down stolen goods, which fits the sect’s goal of helping others. Use Windy Sense at the black market close to the village to locate the stolen items. Once you recover them, return to the Elder. Completing this task earns you your place in the Well of Heaven sect.

Both versions of the initiation across different guides require the same thing: prove that you choose the righteous path even when you are given a chance to act dishonestly.

Well of Heaven Sect Rules You Must Follow in Where Winds Meet

Once you join, the sect expects you to follow a set of rules. These rules influence how you play:

1. Heroic Righteousness

You must complete weekly chivalrous activities. These tasks require Adventure Slips, which you earn from co-op missions.

2. Unrestrained Spirit

Your discipline points may drop if you go against the sect’s values.

3. Generous and Righteous

If you earn too much money in a week, your standing decreases. The sect discourages greed.

4. Brotherhood

You cannot attack or harm other members of the Well of Heaven sect.

These rules push you toward fair actions and consistent support for people around you rather than focusing only on personal gain.

Martial Arts and Gear You Unlock

Once you join a specific sect, you can immediately access Thundercry Blade, the original Thundercry martial art. As you build your reputation, you are titled higher and gain the ability to obtain more things, including weapons and tools, from the sect shop.

Also, you can obtain themed variations of the weapons and tools like the defensive tool, the Predatory Shield, and weapons like the cleaving tool, Galecloud Cleave, and the Sunrush Gale.

There are weekly tasks which you need to complete to gain reputation rank xp to unlock all the things the sect has.

How to Increase Your Reputation in the Well of Heaven?

Once you complete Commands, which are unique sect member missions, you will gain a certain amount of your reputation. Commands reset on a weekly basis and you can earn a max of 1,200 reputation points in a week. The higher you rank, the more unlockables you will have, such as items in the shop, cosmetics, or even martial arts.

To access the sect rewards, open the Mode section of your menu and navigate to the Well of Heaven shop.

You move faster within the sect when you balance your activities correctly. Co-op content is one of the easiest ways to collect Adventure Slips. At the same time, you should avoid making too much gold in a short time, as the sect penalizes excessive earnings.

When finding stolen goods or completing missions that require stealth, make sure your build supports quiet movement and quick escapes.

Staying friendly with other sect members is also important because harming them reduces your standing.
