How to Unlock the Soulshade Umbrella in Where Winds Meet?

Soulshade Umbrella in Where Winds Meet

The Soulshade Umbrella is a support-focused weapon in Where Winds Meet, designed to heal allies and provide buffs during battles. Unlocking it can be done in two main ways: through stealthy Skill Theft at the Post Station or by joining the Hollow Vale Sect.

Here’s a detailed guide on how to get it and make the most of its abilities.

How to Unlock the Soulshade Umbrella in Where Winds Meet?

1. Steal From the Master at Soulshade Umbrella Post Station

The Soulshade Umbrella Martial Art can be acquired by completing a series of activities at the Post Station located in the eastern part of Kaifeng. It is worth mentioning that only after finishing Chapter 1: Heaven Has No Pier one can access Kaifeng.

2. Go through the Entrance

The first thing to do is to enter the Post Station and then go up to the roof of the building on the left side of the entrance. Then, descend carefully from the rooftop and kill the guards that are wandering around and are blocking the way to the main road. Continue deeper into the station, eliminate the patrolling disciples, and pick up the chests that you meet on the way.

3. Try to Stay Low

Using the secret ladders and the hanging coffins, you can get to the hidden places and the upper levels. The final goal is to face the Master and carry out Skill Theft to receive the Soulshade Umbrella Martial Art.

Having the Touch of Death Mystic Art unlocked before trying this would be a good idea since it allows for the silent killing of a few guards. This Mystic Art is acquired by finishing The Realm Endures side quest.

4. Join the Hollow Vale Sect

On the other hand, Soulshade Umbrella can be obtained by becoming a member of the Hollow Vale Sect. This alternative is fulfilling specific Sect requirements and performing related missions along the way. Though this route may be longer, it gives a more orderly manner of getting the weapon without sneaking challenges.

Soulshade Umbrella Martial Arts and Skills Guide

The Soulshade Umbrella is a very good weapon for healing and supporting. Its powers are mainly about health restoring, Dew creation, and buffing you and your partners.

1. Special Skills

Echoes of a Thousand Plants is the signature skill of the Soulshade Umbrella. Put the umbrella into the air and call a secret sword from its handle. During the skill, the umbrella goes with you and is healing the nearby ally having the least health.

If you heal yourself, the effect is increased by 50%. The skill also generates Dew slowly so that it can be used for combat support that needs time.

2. Martial Arts Skills

Floating Grace allows you to boost your own and nearby allies’ damage by 15% for 8 seconds while also applying a small heal. It’s a quick, versatile skill that complements the umbrella’s healing capabilities.

3. Light and Heavy Attacks

The umbrella’s basic light attacks can chain up to three hits for medium-range damage. Its heavy attacks, including the Pale Petal skill, allow for spinning strikes that extend the duration of the Exhausted status on affected enemies.

Additionally, you can switch between your main weapon and the umbrella with the Dual-Weapon Conversion skill, increasing healing output and generating more Dew.

Use the umbrella as a secondary weapon, tossing it into the air to maintain constant healing. Cast Floating Grace before using Echoes of a Thousand Plants to maximize damage buffs. Focus on supporting allies while staying safe in combat, as the Soulshade Umbrella is less suited for high damage output or aggressive play.
