Ticket Frenzy for India-Pakistan T20 World Cup Clash Crashes Booking Site
The most anticipated match of the upcoming T20 World Cup has triggered a virtual stampede. Tickets for the India-Pakistan clash, scheduled for February 15 in Colombo, went on sale on Wednesday, causing an immediate server crash on the official ticketing platform, BookMyShow.
The second phase of ticket sales for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 opened to overwhelming demand, with fans rushing to secure seats for the marquee fixture. The surge in traffic overwhelmed the platform’s servers within minutes, highlighting the massive interest in the iconic rivalry.
While this frenzy unfolded, uncertainty continues to loom over Bangladesh’s participation and match venues due to previously expressed security concerns. In contrast, the schedule for other top teams is firming up.
India will begin their campaign against the USA at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on February 7, followed by matches against Namibia in Delhi (February 12), Pakistan in Colombo (February 15), and the Netherlands in Ahmedabad.
Pakistan, placed in a different group, will play all their matches in Colombo. Their itinerary includes opening against the Netherlands, followed by the USA (February 10), India (February 15), and Namibia.
The tournament runs from February 7 to March 8 across India and Sri Lanka.
