The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 is set to captivate cricket fans worldwide, with hosts India launching their campaign against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru on September 30. The full schedule, recently unveiled by the International Cricket Council (ICC), promises a thrilling month of action from September 30 to November 2, 2025, across five vibrant venues: Bengaluru, Colombo, Visakhapatnam (Vizag), Indore, and Guwahati. All matches will be day-night affairs, starting at 3 PM IST, ensuring prime-time viewing for fans.

Colombo, designated as a neutral venue primarily for Pakistan’s matches due to geopolitical considerations, will play a pivotal role, hosting 11 of the 28 league games. This includes four of Sri Lanka’s home matches and all of Pakistan’s league fixtures. The Sri Lankan capital is also a potential venue for Semi-final 1 (October 29) and the Final (November 2) if Pakistan advances to the knockouts, adding intrigue to the tournament’s climax.

India’s Journey and Marquee Clashes

India, led by their passionate home crowd, will compete across all five venues. Their schedule features high-stakes encounters, including a blockbuster clash against arch-rivals Pakistan in Colombo on October 5 and a showdown with defending champions Australia in Vizag on October 12. India’s campaign concludes with a league match against Bangladesh in Bengaluru on October 26, a day that also sees England face New Zealand in Guwahati, with both games running simultaneously to heighten the drama of qualification.

Australia, the reigning ODI champions, kick off their title defense against T20 world champions New Zealand in Indore on October 1, setting the tone for a competitive tournament. Sri Lanka, buoyed by home support in Colombo, will face Australia (October 4), New Zealand (October 14), South Africa (October 17), Bangladesh (October 20), and Pakistan (October 24), offering their fans a feast of top-tier cricket.
