Rewards & Achievements for the Indian Women’s team after the ICC World Cup Victory
The Indian women’s cricket team created history by winning the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 trophy, marking a glorious chapter in Indian cricket. For its remarkable achievement, the team received a prize money of ₹40 crores from the ICC as World Cup winning prize money, while the BCCI presented ₹51 crore to the players and support staff as appreciation.
After this historic victory, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited the entire team and staff to his residence and personally congratulated and wished the entire team. Following India’s victory, several state governments have come forward to honour their respective players who played a key role in India’s victory in the World Cup. The players have been given cash prizes worth crores of rupees, government jobs and residential plots in recognition of their achievements.

Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues and Radha Yadav honoured by the Maharashtra government
The Maharashtra government, led by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, honoured three of its players – vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, batter Jemimah Rodrigues and left-arm spinner Radha Yadav – with a total cash prize of Rs 2.25 crore.
Apart from this, Team India’s head coach Amol Muzumdar, who is from Maharashtra, was presented a cheque of Rs 22.5 lakh for his contribution to the team’s success.
34 lakh for Richa Ghosh’s 34 runs in the final
The 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman from Siliguri received the Banga Bhushan Award and was appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police. The West Bengal government also presented him with a gold chain. The Cricket Association of Bengal awarded him a prize of 34 Lakhs for every run he scored in the final.
Deepti Sharma appointment as Deputy SP by UP government
Agra’s all-rounder cricketer Deepti Sharma has been honoured with the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) by the Uttar Pradesh government.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath felicitated the 26-year-old cricketer, who has consistently performed brilliantly for the national women’s team, with the honour and a cash prize of Rs 3 crore.
The Madhya Pradesh government awarded Kranti Gaur
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a cash reward of Rs 1 crore for India’s reliable medium pacer Kranti Goud. The Chief Minister also honoured Kranti’s parents for their support and contribution to his cricket journey.
Renuka Thakur honoured by the Himachal Pradesh Government
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu announced a reward of Rs 1 crore to Renuka Thakur, who played a key role in India’s World Cup win with her sharp bowling.
The Chief Minister also announced that Renuka would be given a government job upon her return to the state. Following India’s historic victory, Sukhu personally congratulated her over the phone and promised the star fast bowler a grand welcome.
Andhra Pradesh Government honoured Shri Charani
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu honoured India’s left-arm spin sensation Sri Charani. The state government presented him with a sum of ₹2.5 crore and a 1,000-square-yard residential plot. Additionally, Naidu announced that Charani would be appointed as a Group-1 officer in the Andhra Pradesh government, one of the top civil service positions in the state.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a reward of Rs 50 lakh for all-rounder Sneha Rana, while in Telangana, Sports Minister Vakti Srihari congratulated Arundhati Reddy for being part of the historic team. Meanwhile, Punjab all-rounder Amanjot Kaur expressed gratitude for the support of her home state after meeting Prime Minister Modi.
