India squad for West Indies Test series 2025
India have named a strong 15-member squad for their highly anticipated two-match Test series against West Indies, starting October 2 in Ahmedabad. Led by Shubman Gill, with Ravindra Jadeja as vice-captain, the squad features a balance of proven match-winners and exciting young talent ready to shine in the new World Test Championship cycle.
The batting order boasts consistent performers such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, and Devdutt Padikkal, while KL Rahul adds experience to the top order. Wicket-keeping duties will be shared between Dhruv Jurel and N Jagadeesan.
India’s all-round strength comes from Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, and promising all-rounder Nitish Reddy. The pace attack is spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, complemented by Prasidh Krishna, with Kuldeep Yadav providing a world-class spin option. This line-up highlights India’s depth and intent to dominate Test cricket at home, as they look to bounce back after their draw against England and continue their pursuit of World Test Championship glory.
