BCCI wants Ro-Ko to Play Domestic Cricket for the ODI Contention

Amidst speculations over the ODI future of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly made participation in domestic cricket mandatory for the experienced duo. If they want to be considered for selection in the national team.
After retiring from Tests and T20Is, Rohit and Kohli remain active cricketers only in the 50-over format. Therefore, their match fitness has become a major issue for selection.

Ahead of the team selection for the South Africa ODI series, the issue of the possible participation of these two in the Vijay Hazare Trophy has heated up. The Indian team will play a three-match ODI series against South Africa, starting on November 30, while next year will also begin with an ODI series against New Zealand on January 6.

Rohit Confirm Availability For Vijay Hazare Trophy

According to reports, Rohit Sharma has reportedly informed the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) that he will be available for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The 50-over domestic tournament is scheduled to begin on December 24. Rohit may also play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy starting from November 26. Sharma is currently training at the Sharad Pawar Indoor Academy in Mumbai. Kohli, however, has not yet confirmed his participation in domestic cricket.
